The Mega Man Universe teaser trailer hinted at all sorts of cross-game franchise madness when it debuted earlier this year, and this first gameplay trailer does little more than stoke our curiosity all the more. The new teaser begins with an introduction from creator Keiji Inafune, and then launches into the character select screen of this prettied up side-scrolling Mega Man title. After just a minute of Blue Bomber action, a final tease is revealed — the character select screen pops up again, only this time it features a Megafied version of Street Fighter’s Ryu
The ‘Welcome to The Network’ reveal video is entirely captured from the pre-alpha E3 build and gives a work-in-progress insight into the stylish, outrageous arcade action Bodycount blasts from both barrels. Opening in a desolated African landscape, intense fire-fights rage between military and militia factions as the player tears though cover in an orgy of bullets and destruction to take them down. The video shows a wide range of environmental elements shredding and exploding in real time as Bodycount’s super-charged weaponry rips them to pieces, dynamically changing the environment and presenting unique tactical challenges and opportunities for players. Gamers are also introduced to the ‘Psycho Tank’, a mini-gun wielding maniac who stops at nothing as he smashes through walls to get to his target. In Bodycount, players assume the role of a young renegade who finds himself in a deadly situation way beyond his control when he becomes ensnared by a shadowy organization known only as ‘The Network’. Feel free to discuss, www.robbaz.com My own opinion is the ps3 at least in the demo lacks some effects, gras and foliage, still ps3 seems sharper then the 360 version. These issues will obviously be fixed in the final version. PC is obviously the sharpest but this depend on your performance and monitor, same goes for physx effects “physx didn’t really impress me to much”. It played fine with keyboard and mice but it was great playing it with controllers to it always got somewhat of a charm in 3rd person games. Fun fact, you need to aim in this game! Wow isn’t that amazing? Who thought of that! There’s a bit early on in Mafia 2 where war veteran and budding crook Vito Scaletta tries to go straight. He takes some grunt work at the docks, just like his late old man, loading hefty wooden crates onto a truck bed.
