   If your PS3 hard drive is corrupted can you back up your files and upgrade the PS3 or do you need to ship it in to the company?

   its ok now because it took me about 25 min to get them screws out but the screws wasn’t really in there very tight then i seen that after turning them with my plyers they really loosen up really easy but the screw heads SUCK they strip very easy but thanks anyway

   hi does any1 know if once you have finished restoring the data to the new hard drive, if any online data such as ranks on call of duty will still be there….i think they r coz they are on the online account and not the hdd?….also when backing up the hdd will that also backup any downloaded things from the playstation store, or will that need to be redownloaded?

   i’v got 4 stripped out screws and can’t get my old hard drive out of the caddy and replace it with 500gb what can i do to fix this i’m so pissed off right now not being able to use it do i need to buy another caddy or can i still get the screws out some how please if you know anything that can help let me as soon as possible………

    you were able to download them 5 times…. wow you much have found a loop hole.. the help desk at sony’s IT said only 3.. so you must have got lucky

    Nice video but just one question… What do you do with all those files you backed up on the external drive??

    Maybe you guys could have talked about that rather than focusing all that time on the “being careful not to loose those screws”!…

    if you back up every thing then yes its saved… how ever if you don’t you have 1 chance. you can move every game save with an usb device. but movies will be lost. downloaded game from the PS store can be downloaded from the store again (FOR FREE)but only 3 times total

    Can you use just any old laptop hard drive for the PS3?

    I was thinking of upgradigh my laptop’s hard drive, then putting its current one in my PS3.

    Would this work?
