   Well we cant discuss this one….

   actually it is a bit thinner than Xbox but it sure is wider. So almost the same….

   and the height is the same….

   Well neither do I.

   I have always thought that PC is with OS and consoles are PCs without it – only for gaming….

   I really dont know why did they put OS into PS3, but now they have cut it, so its little bit funny.

   man i need a ps3 but i just bought a psp over the summer so im gonna have to wait a long time before getting a ps3 or maybe they gonna make a wii hd =)

   i have obvo«ivion for 360 and the game of the year ediction for PS3 i have fallout for the PS3 also.
   for Xbox i have only 3 games
   for 360 about 10-15
   for playstation(1,2, & 3) more than 200 in total(all original nope copied)
   so for me is normal to be more acostume to the PS controller but i dont dislike the xbox one.
   both are amaginz consonles no douth about it
   a for online i cant say a dont use net on neither console only on my PC

    There is a need cos its cheaper to make the new slimmer one then the old phat one so from a manufacturing stand point it makes perfect sense.

    I dont get why people are still bothered about this BC has been gone for years it was only in the launch models then they took it out, took away 2 usb ports and the sd card readers too.

    Why buy a PS3 to play PS2 games anyway? You wouldnt buy a dreamcast to play mega cd games

    looks crap as hell, when sony demands so much money for their console with currently so few killer titles id like to know im paying for some heavy and crammed hardware which shines like a mirror and not something that looks like a psp battery

    as for bacwards compatibilty i would have liked to be able to use atleast my PS2 titles as its always harder to get rid of games rather than a old hardware, not everyone wants to have consoles at home you only take out occasionaly to play a scroll shooter

    you always have a bigger bond to games than consoles, only hardcore people ollects consoles and yet probably use them for a week in a year, so yes backwards compatibilty is important and should pretty much be standard by now, its really annoying as im hesitant on buying one as i dont see good enough titles for it, and i want to buy the Ratchet & Clank games i missed on PS2 for it to get me going with a PS3 as i like those games, but sony says no

    Yeah and sony is good about “cramming” software, but unlike the xbox the playstation still keeps functioning no matter how much you play

    Ok even if the new ps3 did have backwards compability. You still wouldn’t buy it because of the simple fact that its “ugly”….so why bother commenting?????
